Normally the headdress sits a little more forward and covers the hair, but I had to dress on the fly when we got to the beach - the outfit wouldn't fit in the car with me wearing it!

We thought the palm trees went really well with my outfit! Sidenote: I couldn't find the gloves I had made for the outfit. As the day was quite hot, I think that's probably for the best.

A closeup of the corset - I hope you can see all the little rhinestones flecking the beautiful fabric! Those are starburst silver sequinned pasties poking out the top of my corset, by the way.

In this photo, you can see a little of how the tailpiece attaches. Lynn devised an ingenious set of hooks and clasps that secure the feathers without damaging the corset.

As this is a 20.5" corset and I am currently comfortable in a 19" - 20", it is laced completely up the back (except at the hips, where lacing it all the way down created an odd-looking bulge in the beaded panties).
